Wildfire Ahead

Partners

Wildfire intelligence is built with the people who hold the data, the terrain, the aircraft and the science. This is what we offer them, and what we ask.

Wildfire Ahead is in development and is not an operational wildfire authority. Nothing on this page describes an agreement that exists, and no organisation is named as a partner. Official warnings, evacuation orders and dispatch remain with the responsible agencies, and no partnership changes that.

Founding Technology Partner

A working relationship rather than a sponsorship: your technology, data or expertise is integrated, validated in the field, and described publicly — including where it did not do what we expected.

What a partner receives

  • Integration into the platform through a documented, vendor-neutral interface.
  • Field validation in a controlled, non-incident environment.
  • A reference architecture showing how the integration was actually built.
  • A public demonstration and a written case study, including what did not work.
  • Access to pilot opportunities as they are established.
  • Preferred standing in a technology category, and introductions to customers as they arrive.

What a partner might contribute

  • Hardware on loan
  • Engineering support
  • API access
  • A dataset
  • Connectivity
  • Sponsorship or pilot co-funding

One of these, not all of them. The offer is shaped around what a partner already has.

Who this is open to

Each of these brings something the platform cannot build for itself. The description says what we would be looking for, not what has been agreed.

  • Government agencies

Authoritative sources, validation against operational reality, a testbed, and the credibility only an agency can extend.

  • Communities

Local knowledge of what matters and where, resilience planning that reflects the place rather than the map, and a real audience for plain-language public information.

  • First Nations and Tribal governments

Partnership on their own terms, with data governance and any restricted knowledge held under their authority — and never inside this platform without it.

  • Utilities

Real assets in real terrain, an operational problem worth solving, and a case study that shows whether the platform earned its place.

  • Forestry

Tenure-scale exposure questions, ground truth on fuels and terrain, and an operational calendar the platform has to fit.

  • Mining

Remote sites where access is the constraint, and where knowing earlier changes what is possible at all.

  • Universities

Independent science, graduate talent, publication, and model validation by people the builder cannot overrule. Independence is the value: a review we could influence would be worth nothing.

  • Drone and sensor vendors

Integration through a vendor-neutral adapter, trial equipment, a reference deployment, and co-marketing. The platform names no vendor in its domain code, by design.

  • Telecommunications

Connectivity where there is none, camera and sensor networks already in the ground, and somewhere to put computation close to the observation.

  • Sponsors

Pilot co-funding and engineering support, in exchange for being visibly part of how the work was done.

Starting a conversation
